Cairo

Hi my friends, I’m going to take you in a magnificent tour around Cairo. Cairo is the Capital of Egypt, officially it was founded in AD 969 by Amr Ibn El Ass, however, it has stood there along all ages and has been the Capital of Egypt during Ancient Egyptian times, Greeks, Romans, Arabs and Turks, under different names like Memphis, Heliopolis, Babylon-in-Egypt, Al-Fustat, Al-Qataei, Al-Askar and finally Al Qahira (meaning the triumphant City) or Cairo.

Do you know my friends that Cairo is so old, that it was here when Virgin Mary and Child Jesus took their holy journey from Palestine, they rested in Cairo during their journey. The first mosque built in Africa was built here in Cairo. Can you imagine that Cairo is at least twice as old as Paris, 7 times as old as Berlin and 15 times as old as New York City. Cairo has an enormous number of cities dating back to ancient, Coptic, Islamic and modern civilization, we will list just some of them here where you can learn, see and maybe take some virtual tours of these great sites. Be sure also to ask me about any place that is not listed here and would like to know more about, and I would love to show you around and fill you in about any place in Egypt.
